Tips to ensure your next photoshoot is a success!

  • Research your photographer (me LOL) and make sure you enjoy my editing style and concept of photography

  • Let me know if there are any importance moments or significance that you would like captured in your photo session. (I.E. if your are planning a surprise proposal, or if you are making an announcement throughout the shoot). Honestly totally okay with you not telling me either and it being a TRUE surprise, but it is nice to ensure that I am prepared to capture that moment!

  • Have a couple locations in mind! It is okay to want variety! Heck, I LOVE variety! And the universe is funny sometimes and we can’t make the original plan work, so lets have a plan b in mind, and a plan c, maybe d… too much?

  • Check and plan for the weather of your shoot! Establish what type of weather would make or break your session (ensure you communicate with the photographer), and plan your outfits accordingly!

  • OUTFITS, back to my variety comment, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring multiple outfits! Couple of reasons why, first off, why not? Second of all, some kind of malfunction may occur with the original fit, so it is nice to have a backup. You can also diversify your gallery by giving yourself different outfit options, which unlock different poses, different vibes, trust me, more is ALWAYS merrier.

  • Make sure you take off any hair ties, phones, wallets and all other accessories that you DON’T want included in your images. I am usually pretty good at catching these, but I am also just a human being, so lets be safe and just plan to have them removed in advance.

  • Make a mood board - this helps ensure I capture the mood and tone you are going for with your images, and gives you an excuse to scroll on Pinterest, which may or may not be how I spend my Friday night….. don’t judge!

  • Be honest with me! People always assume that I am the only one that gets to approve or disapprove images in a session. Ummm, you booked me to photograph YOU! If you are not happy with the photos or with the posing, or any element of your shoot for that matter, TELL ME so we can change that! Being comfortable is always top priority, so just let m know and we will make it work for you!

  • I know this should go without saying, but please make sure you pay your photographer. Typically photographers take a deposit at booking and the remainder at the time of the session. Please don’t make a great session awkward by having us chase you down for payment. I am fortunate to have lovely clients that respect our time mutually and I have never had this issue, but also just a good reminder that I won’t start editing or even backing up your images, until the full amount is received!

What type of photo sessions do you do?

I am a portrait and lifestyle phoyographer, which basically means I shoot everything! Some of the main sessions I find myself capturing are:

  • Family Photos

  • Couples and Engagements

  • Maternity Photos

  • Small Events and Weddings (Send me a message below for specific information on these)

  • Pet photography

  • Graduation portraits

What is included in my photo session?

  • 1hr of shooting (except weddings) to ensure we’re not rushed, and can get comfortable behind the camera!

  • Guided posing by yours truly!

  • A online gallery showing your best images

  • 1 complimentary 5x7 photo print of your choice

 

How much are my sessions?

Great question! All my sessions are built to the needs of my clients! All packages start at $190.00, and are fully customized from there! Some of the things that you can customize are:

  • How many images you want included in your online gallery

  • Print Orders

  • Whether you want a studio styled session with backdrops, or a natural background.

 

Do you only photograph in the Langley area?

Nope! While I am based in Langley, I love to travel around and explore new areas! Depending on the location there may be travel charges applied to the session, but I am definitely open to travelling!

 

How long after my session can I expect my gallery?

Giving your final gallery back to you as soon as possible, is always something I strive for! Sneak peeks and a preview gallery are typically delivered within 2-5 days from your session. Once you selected the chosen images for your final gallery they will be edited and fine tuned to ensure you are getting the best quality of the image, and then are delivered via online gallery typically within a week from selecting! All my sessions also include 1 5x7 photo print that you can expect within 2 weeks of selecting.

 

Do you offer bigger print packages?

Yes! This is something I am super excited to bring into my sessions! Pricing for packages are custom depending on the size and type of photo print you are looking for, but most definitely offer print packages to help commemorate your session. Ask me for details!
